UI/UX Designer for Web Applications at a Data Science and AI Firm in Tokyo (Part-time) - remote.

For a position in a worldwide, distributed company, we are hiring an experienced UI/UX Designer for a part-time role. You will contribute with your creative expertise to craft intuitive and visually appealing UI and UX designs for cutting-edge web applications. You'll collaborate closely with our development team to bring your UI/UX concepts to life and ensure an exceptional user experience across our projects.

- Conduct competitor design research and present your findings and suggestions to the team.

- Create visually stunning and user-centric UI and UX designs.

- Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to ensure correct implementation of your designs.

- Apply design principles to enhance the usability, accessibility, and overall aesthetics of our web applications.

- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our design processes.

- Continuously develop our design system. 

- Create brand identity designs for our products.

- Proven experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise.

- Proficiency in using Figma.

- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.

- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to analyze and incorporate user feedback into design iterations.

- Proficiency in English for clear communication and collaboration within a global team.

- Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, ideally up to full-time, during typical office hours.

- Access to a modern computer setup, including a headset, in a distraction-free workspace.

- Willingness to participate in video meetings during regular business hours in the Japan time zone (GMT+9).

- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Experience with usability testing and prototyping tools.

- Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first approaches.
